Infant who are given consistent and quality care can become attached to caregiver and feel secure, respected and loved which helps to develop trust and high self-esteem. Attachment is the key component of a good daily program for infants. Staff consistently interacts with infants to develop elicit caring responses in both infant and staff which builds the trusting bond among them.
Caregivers focus on an infant’s overall development, which includes physical, social/emotional, cognitive and language development. Caregivers take time to engage with the infants, make daily observations, and collaborate with coworkers in order to plan learning activities for the infants, which allow the infant to explore their independence to pursue their interest and natural desire to learn and grow.
This period represents a crucial developmental phase in early childhood. The children are learning through the use of their hands, as well as their other senses, and they act upon what they find to be challenging and interesting in their environment. The Toddler Program is designed to accommodate this period of learning, a time when children learn by absorbing and manipulating their environment.
A wide variety of activities, specially designed for the Toddler Program, allow the child freedom to pursue his/her interests and natural desire to learn and grow. Children are guided through the curriculum by a caring and nurturing staff. Children in this program will begin to develop an awareness of their own and others’ rights and limits. Children in the Toddler Program continually develop their social skills, recognize and act on their emotions and learn to take turns. The preschool program is intended to build skills of independence, introduce and develop academic learning, develop social skills and foster a love and respect for the world. The preschool program has built a reputation as a provider of early learning environment. We strive to provide a stimulating program that offers services that respects the children’s belief, culture, language and experiences.
The preschool program also focuses developing the foundation of kindergarten skills where the life-long learning begins.
The children in these programs have access to the childcare before and after school while they attend a community schools during school hours. The childcare is also available on days schools are closed such as PA days, March Break and summer closure.
The J/K –S/K programs focuses on the Early Years Act of development through emergent curriculum. the classroom and outdoor experiences that are set up to create interest and learning for the children
Our school-age program provides a relaxed atmosphere for children before and after school. School age activities include weekly program activities, games, homework help, snacks and outdoor play. In addition to our regular school-age program, children are exposed to activities that allows them to experience self-worth and esteem building such as cooking and drama club.
School-age children are expected to be self-directed and highly motivated as they are guided by the teachers in the room, to complete each project independently or with their peers as a team effort. School-age children are encouraged to demonstrate good work habits, motivation, and independence. The student’s ability to exercise self-discipline dictates the level of freedom they can expect in their classroom environment.
